India’s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is among six contractors Sri Lanka Cabinet has chosen to supply fuel for national carrier SriLankan Airlines, the government said.
The contracts were awarded after international competitive bids were invited for awarding contracts to supply fuel required for SriLankan aircrafts at international airports, the government said on its cabinet decisions.
The Cabinet approved the proposal to award contracts for a period of two years “based on the recommendations of the higher level standing procurement committee.”
BP Middle East LLC was chosen as the contractor in Paris and Canton, Aviation Services Management Limited in Dhaka, and Chevron Products Company, a division of Chevron USA INC in Dubai.
Royal Sino – Energy Aviation Services Hong Kong Company Limited was chosen to supply fuel for SriLankan in Gann Island, United fuel Company Limited in Jeddah, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in airports in India which includes Bangalore, Kachin, Chennai, Delhi, Madurai, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli.
