ICAO and Singapore jointly hosted the inaugural Youth for Aviation program in Asia from 14-18 July, bringing together 36 young professionals from 19 Asia-Pacific nations to tackle future workforce challenges in one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets.
Participants met with ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar, Asia-Pacific Regional Director Ma Tao, and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Director-General Han Kok Juan. The five-day agenda included visits to the Airbus Asia Training Centre and discussions on AI integration, drone regulations, and sustainable aviation, aiming to nurture the next generation of aviation leaders.
