The IAAC (International Airline & Aviation College) Awards Council has proudly inducted Mr. Keerthi Peiris, Head of Training and former AOC Chairman, into the prestigious Sri Lanka Aviation Hall of Fame for 2023/ 24. With a career spanning over five decades, Mr. Peiris has been a pillar of excellence in airport operations and passenger service. His journey reflects a lifelong dedication to raising industry standards, with significant roles across globally recognized airlines and organizations:
☑️ Air Ceylon (1974–1978): Began as an Airport Assistant, setting the stage for a remarkable career.
☑️ KLM (1978–1995): Served as Airport Officer, honing skills in operational efficiency and service quality.
☑️ Gulf Air (1995–1998): Led as Airport Manager with distinction.
☑️ British Airways (1998–2003): Delivered world-class service as Airport Manager.
☑️ Oman Air (2004–2007): Excelled as Airport Manager, driving operational excellence.
☑️ Etihad Airways (2007–2010): Elevated customer experience as Airport Manager.
☑️ Oman Air (2010–2020): Served as Handling Representative, ensuring consistent quality.
☑️ Royal Air Force Operations: Contributed to critical international aviation efforts.
☑️ Hayleys Pvt Ltd (2019–2020): Served as Consultant for Airport Operations, sharing his vast expertise.
Currently serving as Head of Training at IAAC, Mr. Peiris continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of aviation professionals. His leadership as former AOC Chairman highlights his lasting impact on Sri Lanka’s aviation landscape.
The Hall of Fame Certificate was formally presented to Mr. Keerthi Peiris by Mr. Sunil Jayaratne, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, in honor of his lifelong dedication and remarkable achievements in the field of aviation.
