Estonia prepares to touch down at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport later today.
The inaugural flight, operated by SkyUP Airlines, is scheduled to arrive at 11.50 pm tonight, carrying a group of eager tourists from the Estonian capital, Tallinn. This new route is expected to bring in 16,456 tourists during the winter season, generating an estimated $25 million in foreign exchange earnings for Sri Lanka.
SkyUP Airlines is partnering with JoinUP, an international travel agency, and Delux Holidays, a local Sri Lankan operator, to ensure a seamless travel experience for Estonian tourists. The airline plans to operate six weekly flights during the winter season, connecting Mattala Rajapaksa Airport with Tallinn and other major cities in the Baltic region.
