Emirates Airline will reward eligible employees with a 22-week bonus following its third consecutive year of record profits. For the fiscal year ending in March, the airline reported a net profit of Dh19.06 billion ($5.2 billion) a 10.6% increase, driven by strong long-haul travel demand and lower fuel costs. Emirates carried over 53.6 million passengers, with revenue rising 6% to Dh127.9 billion, despite global economic challenges and geopolitical tensions.
This marks the third consecutive year that Emirates has issued substantial bonuses to its staff. Eligible employees received a 20-week bonus last year, and more than 50,000 employees received 24 weeks’ pay with their May 2023 salaries. (The National News)
