The Emirates Group has reported a profit before tax of AED 4.1 billion (US$1.1 billion) for the first half of the 2026–27 financial year, despite operational disruptions caused by regional conflict and significantly higher fuel prices.
For the six months ended 30 September 2026, the Group recorded revenue of AED 66.2 billion (US$18 billion), down 12% compared to the same period last year. Profit after tax stood at AED 3.6 billion (US$1 billion), representing a 66% decline year-on-year.
Emirates Airline contributed AED 3.7 billion (US$1 billion) in profit before tax, while its revenue reached AED 56.9 billion (US$15.5 billion). The airline carried 21.8 million passengers during the reporting period, down 22% compared to the previous year, as airspace restrictions and reduced flight operations affected its network.
Despite the challenges, Emirates had restored 91% of its pre-disruption network by the end of September, serving 150 airports across 78 countries and territories. Its cargo division, Emirates SkyCargo, also recorded a 52% increase in cargo revenue, supported by increased demand for air freight amid disruptions to maritime transport.
The Group closed the reporting period with cash reserves of AED 54.1 billion (US$14.7 billion), highlighting its financial capacity to navigate ongoing industry challenges.
Emirates Group Chairman and Chief Executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said the Group remained focused on fleet expansion, product enhancements and investments in future capabilities despite the challenging operating environment.
