An American Airlines flight from New York (JFK) to New Delhi (DEL) made an unscheduled landing in Rome on Sunday (23) afternoon due to a reported security threat. Flight AA292, a Boeing 787-9, was escorted by Italian Air Force Eurofighters to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, where it underwent inspection by law enforcement.
American Airlines later confirmed that the security concern was deemed “non-credible” following thorough checks. The aircraft was cleared to continue its journey to New Delhi. – Foreign Media
