The tender period for the construction of the new passenger terminal at the Katunayake Airport has been extended until March.
This will be built with the assistance of Japan’s JICA.
Deputy Minister of Ports and Aviation Ruwan Kodituwakku stated that accordingly, its construction will be able to commence next June.
He also stated that with the construction of the new passenger terminal, it will be possible to increase the annual passenger operating capacity of the Katunayake Airport to 15 million by 2028. (Daily News)
