Sri Lanka is set for a significant boost in international air connectivity next week, with Vietnam Airlines scheduled to commence Ho Chi Minh City-Colombo services on 16 August 2026, followed by VietJet Air on 18 August 2026.
The arrival of these two major Vietnamese carriers is expected to further strengthen Sri Lanka’s international air connectivity while creating new opportunities for tourism, trade and travel between Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
