CINEC launches vertical of aviation professional training courses

CINEC Campus, a leader in the higher education sector in the region, recently launched its vertical of aviation professional training courses, which aims at preparing aspiring individuals for exciting careers in the aviation industry.

The newly launched programs are implemented with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including the simulation airport classroom facility, cabin crew practical training facilities and an experienced lecture panel.

They have carefully reviewed the requirements and standards set out by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) about the programs, thereby ensuring that campus infrastructure is up to the international regulatory standards.

CINEC currently conducts Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (CAT B1.1) program, an approved course by the CAASL, which leads to a BSC (Hons) in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering by the University of South Wales and a BBA in Airline and Airport Management by Lincoln University College in Malaysia.

The Learjet at CINEC with actual engines and functioning systems, provides a platform for technician students to learn and practice various aircraft maintenance tasks. It serves as a valuable tool for them to gain hands-on experience and practical skills to proceed with inspecting, repairing, and replacing different parts of the aircraft as well as troubleshooting various maintenance-related issues. CINEC’s “Simulation airport classroom” facility is designed to provide students with a realistic and immersive learning experience, equipped with cutting-edge technology.

It recreates a simulated airport environment where students can learn and practice various aspects of airport operations. The facility also ensures that students are well-versed in the intricacies of airport operations including the on-the-job training with airlines.

CINEC is associated with POS Aviation, in Malaysia, to offer fully-fledged ground handling training services which offers a wide range of ground handling services, including aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), aircraft charter, and ground handling.

Having been certified by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) of Malaysia, it is also a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The Company has conducted the relevant certification process and assured that CINEC trainers have achieved the necessary skills and knowledge. The ongoing Cabin mock-up facility at CINEC replicates an aircraft cabin, complete with all the necessary equipment and safety protocols. The students will receive comprehensive training in areas such as emergency procedures, customer service, first aid, and inflight services. CINEC aviation professional training program boasts an esteemed lecture panel comprising industry veterans, seasoned professionals, and subject matter experts. With practical experience and diverse perspectives, they are committed to nurturing aspiring youth and guiding them towards successful careers.

It also offers the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a globally recognised and highly regarded qualification in the industry. It enhances the credibility of students and opens doors to a wide range of lucrative career opportunities. It demonstrates their proficiency in airport operations, cabin crew management, cargo handling, travel and tourism and dangerous goods regulations.
