A Ceiba Intercontinental Boeing 737-800, registration ET-AWR, overran the runway while landing at Malabo’s airport on August 29th, 2024. Flight C2-205 from Bata encountered poor weather conditions, including low visibility and a rain-soaked runway.
The aircraft came to a stop on soft ground with the nose gear sunk, and passengers were safely evacuated via slides. There were no reported injuries. Authorities are assessing the damage to the aircraft.
