Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific has expanded its Airbus freighter fleet plans by placing an order for two additional Airbus A350F aircraft, bringing its total commitment to eight next-generation freighters.
The new aircraft will be operated by the airline’s cargo division and are expected to enhance efficiency across Cathay Pacific’s extensive global cargo network. The A350F also offers strong operational and technical commonality with the carrier’s existing Airbus fleet.
Designed as one of the world’s most advanced cargo aircraft, the Airbus A350F offers a range of up to 8,700 kilometres, a payload capacity of up to 111 tonnes, and significantly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous-generation freighters.
