The Government of Sri Lanka has announced a cabinet reshuffle aimed at driving development initiatives under the 2026 Budget. Anura Karunathilake has been appointed as the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Services, succeeding Bimal Rathnayake, who now assumes duties as Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development.
The change is expected to bring renewed focus to Sri Lanka’s aviation and port sectors, enhancing infrastructure development and operational efficiency in the coming months.
