The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) conducted an Aviation Awareness Programme at Colombo International Airport, Ratmalana, on 22 June 2026, featuring the participation of ICAO Asia and Pacific Regional Director, Tao Ma.
The programme brought together students from aviation training institutions and industry professionals for interactive discussions on global aviation trends, emerging technologies, workforce development, and career opportunities. Participants also benefited from a panel discussion with senior aviation experts and a tour of airport facilities. The initiative forms part of CAASL’s efforts to support the development of future aviation professionals in line with ICAO’s Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) programme.
