The newly appointed Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Bimal Ratnayake, officially commenced his duties yesterday (November 20).
The event was attended by President’s Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Ministry Secretary Senior Professor Kapila C. K. Perera, and other senior officials of the ministry, along with heads of institutions under its purview.
The minister emphasized the importance of enhancing the country’s transport, ports, and aviation sectors to support economic growth and development.
