The luxury bus service operating between Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Centre has officially resumed from today (01), offering passengers a more convenient and comfortable travel option.
The service is being jointly operated by Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) and the National Transport Commission under the guidance of the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development and the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation.
Operating every 45 minutes from 5.15 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., the journey takes approximately 50 minutes with a ticket price of Rs. 410.
Authorities state that special training programmes have also been conducted for drivers and conductors to ensure improved passenger safety, efficiency and service quality.
The resumption of the service is expected to strengthen connectivity between the airport and key transport hubs while supporting tourism and economic activities in the country.
