‘AES Lanka’ Successfully Restores AOG-Affected Bombardier Global 5000 After 11 Months at BIA

Aeronautical Engineering Services Pvt Ltd (AES Lanka) has successfully returned a Bombardier Global 5000 (N689WM) to service after the aircraft remained grounded at Bandaranaike International Airport since December 2024 due to an AOG situation.
 
Working closely with the aircraft owner, Bernstein Aircraft Sales LLC (USA), AES Lanka completed the full restoration within just three weeks, enabling the jet to depart Sri Lanka on 27 November 2025 for Johannesburg, South Africa.
 
The recovery was supported by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, Ceylon Aviation Pvt Ltd and Sri Lanka Customs. The achievement highlights AES Lanka’s growing capability in delivering reliable AOG recovery and technical support services.
