Admiral (Retired) Kanchana Banagoda has been appointed as the new Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (AASL), effective from 1 September 2026.
W. S. Mangala, Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation, has been serving as Acting Chairman of AASL following the departure of former Chairman Harsha Abeywickrama in January.
