Eng. Athula Galketiya – Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Pvt.) Ltd. recently met Mr. Senthilvel Balasubramanian – Asia Pacific Regional Director of International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations (IFATSEA), General Manager (Training) of Indian Aviation Academy and an expert Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) of Aviation Authority of India. The meeting took place at BIA and was arranged upon the invitation of Air Traffic Engineering Officers’ Association – Sri Lanka (Affiliate member of IFATSEA), during Mr. Senthilvel’s visit to Sri Lanka.
Professionals were committed to push the boundaries of knowledge, sharpen the intellects, refine approaches, and ultimately advance the collective understanding of the field of Air Traffic Safety. Possible involvement and collaboration of IFATSEA for adopting regional standards in Sri Lanka was further discussed.
Representatives of Electronics and Air Navigation Engineering Division of AASL and Air Traffic Engineering Officers’ Association of Sri Lanka also participated in the meeting.
Mr. Senthilvel also joined with Sri Lankan ATSEP and shared his expertise knowledge at Navigational Services Complex at BIA.
