August 2026 has been a significant month for Sri Lanka’s aviation sector, with three new airlines commencing operations to Sri Lanka.
Vietnam Airlines began services on 16 August, followed by VietJet Air on 18 August and Jetstar on 25 August.
The new airline arrivals are strengthening Sri Lanka’s international connectivity while offering passengers more travel options across key regional markets.
