Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, is planning to add up to two Airbus A220-300 aircraft to its fleet as part of its modernization strategy.
Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), which operates Maldivian, has invited proposals to lease the aircraft, with deliveries targeted for late 2027 and early 2028. The aircraft are expected to feature an eight-seat business-class and 130-seat economy-class configuration.
The planned additions aim to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the airline’s regional and medium-haul network.
