The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026 have revealed the world’s leading airlines, with Turkish Airlines rising to 5th place, entering the global Top 5. Emirates has moved to 6th place.
Turkish Airlines also received eight prestigious Skytrax awards this year:

🏆 World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering – 10th time
🏆 Best Airline in Southern Europe – 13th time
🏆 Best Business Class in Europe
🏆 Best Business Class in Southern Europe
🏆 Best Economy Class in Europe
🏆 Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Europe
🏆 Best Economy Class Onboard Catering in Europe
Singapore Airlines secured the No. 1 position, followed by Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific, while ANA All Nippon Airways ranked fourth.
Notably, five of the world’s top six airlines operate flights to Sri Lanka, highlighting Colombo’s connectivity with some of the world’s highest-ranked carriers.
