The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has tentatively selected a preferred bidder for the Muthurajawela-Katunayake aviation fuel pipeline project, with the official award pending the completion of the tender appeal period.
CPC Managing Director Dr. Mayura Neththikumarage said all three bids received were from Chinese companies, but the name of the selected bidder has not yet been disclosed.
The project is part of a wider Rs. 48 billion energy infrastructure upgrade being undertaken by the CPC and Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd. (CPSTL), aimed at improving the country’s petroleum storage and distribution infrastructure.
