A delegation from UAE-based Wings Capital Management Consultancies met with the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) to discuss potential investment opportunities aimed at supporting the country’s aviation sector.
The discussions, held with CAASL Director General and CEO Capt. Daminda Rambukwella, focused on emerging areas including Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), electric aviation, drone logistics, sustainable airport infrastructure, green aviation and aviation technology development.
The UAE firm also expressed interest in partnering with CAASL to establish a Civil Aviation Training Centre in Sri Lanka through foreign investment and international collaboration, with the aim of enhancing aviation education, professional training, and positioning the country as a regional aviation training hub. CAASL reaffirmed its commitment to supporting responsible investment, innovation, and sustainable growth in Sri Lanka’s civil aviation sector.
