The Airbus A350-1000ULR has successfully completed its maiden flight, marking the beginning of a two-month flight test campaign for Qantas’ ambitious Project Sunrise initiative.
The ultra-long-range aircraft features an additional rear centre fuel tank, extending its range by around 1,000 nautical miles. Once introduced into service, the aircraft is expected to enable non-stop flights from Sydney to destinations such as London and New York, pushing the boundaries of long-haul commercial aviation.
