The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has issued a public notice warning that fake, fabricated and misleading information related to civil aviation is being circulated on several social media platforms.
The authority stated that no such statements were issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation & Chief Executive Officer and urged the public and media institutions to verify information only through official communication channels.
CAASL also noted that legal action is being initiated against those responsible for creating and spreading false reports, emphasizing its commitment to protecting public confidence and the credibility of state institutions.
