Sri Lanka recorded 183,979 tourist arrivals in March 2026, reflecting a slight decline compared to 229,298 arrivals in March 2025.
India remained the top source market, contributing 47,533 visitors during the month, continuing its strong position as the leading inbound tourism driver for the island.
Despite the year-on-year dip, the figures indicate sustained travel interest, with regional markets particularly India, playing a key role in supporting Sri Lanka’s tourism recovery.
