Sri Lanka’s tourism sector continues its strong recovery, with total arrivals surpassing 700,000 so far this year.
Between March 1 and March 22 alone, the country welcomed 136,089 tourists, reflecting sustained travel demand. India remained the leading source market, contributing 135,070 arrivals during this period.
In addition to India, Sri Lanka attracted a significant number of visitors from key markets including the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany and China, further highlighting the island’s growing global appeal.
