Tao Ma, Regional Director for Asia & the Pacific of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on the night of 12 February 2026 for an official State visit to Sri Lanka.
He was warmly received by Capt. Daminda Rambukwella, Director General of Civil Aviation & CEO and senior officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL).
The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between ICAO’s Asia Pacific Regional Office and Sri Lanka, reinforce outcomes of discussions held during the 42nd ICAO Assembly and support preparations for Sri Lanka’s upcoming ICAO audit.
During his stay, Mr. Tao Ma is scheduled to hold meetings with key government officials and aviation stakeholders to further enhance bilateral collaboration in the civil aviation sector.
