Airports and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (AASL) has concluded 2025 on a high note, recording an impressive year of growth and connectivity.
During the year, Sri Lanka’s airports handled over 10.2 million passengers, with 46 airlines operating across 72 destinations in 34 countries. International passenger movements exceeded 10.2 million, while international aircraft movements reached 64,340.
Domestic aviation also showed steady progress, alongside strong performance in cargo handling and transit passenger movements. Tourist arrivals by air surpassed 2.3 million, highlighting Sri Lanka’s growing appeal as a global travel destination.
This achievement reflects the dedication of AASL staff, airline partners, and stakeholders across all five airports, as the country looks ahead to even greater growth in 2026.
