Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker and US officials visited Katunayake Air Base today(11) to thank American airmen for their role in transporting critical relief supplies to affected areas.
The US Embassy stated that years of joint training with Sri Lanka’s Tri-Services have strengthened the two countries’ ability to respond to crises and support a free and open Indo-Pacific.
The visit follows continued US assistance to Sri Lanka as it recovers from the impacts of Cyclone Ditwah. (The Morning)
