An Emirates Airbus A380 operating from Dubai to Brisbane (registration A6-EVQ) diverted to Colombo last evening (20) due to a medical emergency onboard. Upon landing at Bandaranaike International Airport, the unwell passenger was immediately transferred to a local hospital for further medical care.
Following the transfer, the aircraft was cleared for departure and has since continued its journey to Brisbane. Further information on the passenger’s condition has not been released.
