SLAAR Strengthens Ties with CAASL to Foster Collaborative Growth in Sri Lanka’s Aviation Sector

The Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives (SLAAR) recently paid a courtesy visit to the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) to meet its newly appointed Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Captain Daminda Rambukwella.
 
During the meeting, the SLAAR committee extended warm congratulations to Captain Rambukwella on his new appointment and shared an overview of the Association’s initiatives aimed at enhancing Sri Lanka’s aviation industry. Key discussions focused on SLAAR’s subcommittees, Training & Development, Industry Affairs, CSR, and Public Relations and their ongoing efforts to strengthen the industry through professional development and stakeholder engagement.
 
Both parties explored avenues for collaboration between SLAAR and CAASL to drive sustainable growth, strengthen industry partnerships, and address emerging challenges within the aviation sector.
 
Also present at the meeting were Mr. Rayhan Wanniappa, Deputy Director General (Air Transport and Security Regulation), Mr. Asanga Liyanaarachchi, Director (Air Transport & Economic Regulations) and Mr. Ishara Gunawardana, Manager (Air Services & Traffic Rights).
 
SLAAR expressed its commitment to continue working closely with CAASL in shaping a progressive and globally competitive aviation landscape for Sri Lanka.
